Promotion Win Treble tips
For those who regularly have a bet on all of the football action, the fact that the football league season has come to an end will be bad news, but with the Play-Offs very much on the horizon, not all hope is lost just yet.
Betting on outright winners of the Play-Offs in the Championship, League One and League Two has been available all season but it’s picked up more pace, as we now know the definite teams taking part.
With just nine games to go before we know every side promoted through the Play-Offs, the markets for backing your own tips are more active than ever. Most punters who back the Play-Off winners tend to put all three into a Win Treble, which certainly spices up the intensity of watching each game play out.
If you’re interested in seeing a larger array of Win Treble tips, Footy Accumulators provide their own. They also offer betting previews, recommended bets and everything else you might want on all of the week’s football.
Our thoughts on this season’s Play-Offs:
Fulham at 7/4 – Likely working as the least surprising selection of the three, backing Fulham to go up has been something a lot of punters have been doing throughout the season, as they had a similar late push for promotion in the previous attempt. With on-loan Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic now helping them with a mass of goals, it’s no shock that they’re seen as being able to beat Derby County and one of either Aston Villa or Middlesbrough to the Premier League.
Charlton Athletic at 13/5 – Finishing just inside the top six of League One by a mere three points doesn’t sound like the most overwhelming of promotion pushes but it’s been enough to get people adding Charlton Athletic to their betslips and we’d have to agree. Shrewsbury Town, Rotherham United and Scunthorpe United all look capable in the places above but Charlton Athletic have shown so much improvement this season that they could be more capable of a move up to the Championship than their adversaries.
Coventry City at 9/4 – Moments of the season have seen Coventry City pushing for promotion but through the incredible performances of Accrington Stanley, Luton Town and Wycombe Wanderers in the top three places of the table, it’s been hard to compete any higher than their eventual resulting place of sixth. We see them as being one of the strongest sides in League Two this season though, so they could be all but set to move up to League One.
All three in a Win Treble: 31/1 – Backing each of these selections as singles would be understandable but if you’re open to getting behind a riskier bet with higher odds, you can get behind all three together in a Win Treble. The bookies currently offer odds of 31/1 for Fulham, Charlton Athletic and Coventry City all to go up, and it’s looking like the best combination from all three Play-Off battles.
