FABREGAS: THE UCL FINAL WILL BE INTERESTING TO WATCH
All attention will be shifted to Lisbon, Portugal, where the final of this season's UEFA Champions League will be played later this month. The final will see two of English football's best teams in Manchester City and Chelsea lock horns away from English soil as they will be looking to make it a fierce battle on the pitch all for the burning desire to enjoy European glory on the night of the fixture.
Thomas Tuchel and his Chelsea side have done incredibly well to find themselves in the final even though they would have been ruled out of making it to that stage of the competition judging by their form at the earlier stages of this campaign. On the other hand, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side found their way to the competition's final after having to move past easier teams as compared to the sides Chelsea had to come against in the knockout rounds.
Manchester City faced the likes of Borussia Monchengladbach and Lyon, while Chelsea were faced with a tougher battle as they faced the likes of Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid on their way to the final. And Fabregas, a former Chelsea player, has now revealed that according to how both teams have cemented their status as attacking teams this season, it will be very interesting to watch them in the final and see which team will come out on top.
Fabregas said both City and Chelsea have been great to watch this season as they have both played some fantastic football and also proved some doubters wrong with how well they have defeated their rivals on their way to getting to the final.
When asked who he thinks will come out of the tie as winners, Fabregas said it is very difficult to predict because both teams have been very brilliant. However, he admitted that he would love his former side Chelsea to emerge as the competition's winners.
