Former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has hailed the instant impact Romelu Lukaku has had since sealing his return to the club, commending the big Belgian star, and tipping him to be a huge success for the Blues this season. Lukaku made a sensational return to Stamford Bridge after leaving Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan this summer following a richly successful campaign that saw him propel the club to their first league title in a long time under Italian manager Antonio Conte, who was responsible for the signing of Lukaku from English Premier League giants Manchester United back in the summer transfer window of 2018.

He made his debut and a very first senior appearance for the Blues last Sunday against their north London rivals Arsenal and he once again showed his quality as he scored the opening goal of the match to help then seal a 2-0 win over Mikel Arteta's men at the Emirates Stadium. It was their first win against the Gunners in their last couple of meetings but they showed that they were indeed an improved side and the better side in the north London derby.

His brilliance in the game has seen him earn a lot of plaudits from the former player of the Blues and Cesc Fabregas has not been left out. The former Blues midfield star has hailed Lukaku, calling him a very important player and tipping him to have a very successful season with his former side this campaign.

Fabregas says Lukaku is what Chelsea have been lacking and it was the best thing to do as they got him back as he is a guaranteed goalscorer and would help them earn more points in the league this season on their quest to win the English Premier League title under manager Thomas Tuchel.
