Cesc Fabregas backs Antonio Conte as New Manager

Cesc Fabregas feels that Chelsea have made a good decision in appointing Antonio Conte as the next manager.

The Italian will be arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer just after the Euro 2016 concludes. After having experienced international management for a brief period, Conte will be returning back to club football. However, being in charge of Chelsea will be an entirely different experience for the Italian since he has never managed outside Italy at club football level. Even though there have been several words of praise coming for Conte, he has also been requested to learn English as this possible.

Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti was able to succeed straightaway and win the FA Cup and league title in his first season since he was able to master the language rather quickly. Conte’s success will depend on this factor, although it is not the major element. Fabregas feels that Conte has all the attributes for a winner and he is confident that the Italian will lead Chelsea back to title success after a very disappointing season. The club will not be involved in the Champions League – or any other European football for that matter – next season. This could be a blessing in disguise since Contecan go full tilt at the league title.

"I know for a fact that he is a winner. I know that he wants to win. He wants to win straight away. I think it will be just about adapting to what he wants in pre-season, adapting to the tactical side, to the technical side he wants to play. Obviously we don't really know that still but I'm sure after the Euros we'll have a nice pre-season to see what he wants from us.We will all try to help him and I'm sure we will have to do our best and train hard to help Chelsea [back] to where it belongs,” said Fabregas.
