FABREGAS BACKS TITO

The Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has said that he does not see reason why all the Spanish international midfielders at the club will be able to play at the same moment.

The Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova has been using the same formation employed by the former manager Guardiola. As a result, many of the high-profile names like Andrea Iniesta, Xavi, Sergio Busquets, and Cesc Fabregas have found themselves constantly being rotated for the matches. Earlier in the season, Fabregas found himself largely on the bench. Fabregas has been a regular starter in the last five years of his career.

As a result, he immediately found it difficult to cope with life as a substitute. However, he has been playing on a regular basis in recent weeks, which is delighting him a lot. This has in turn meant that Villanova has had to utilise some of the players like Iniesta from the bench.

Fabregas, though, thinks that all the international midfielders within the Barcelona squad, who play for Spain, are good enough to be playing in the same team at the same moment. It has been a great start to the new season for Barcelona, although they recently suffered a defeat against Celtic in the Champions League.

"At Barcelona you do not play if you are not doing well. I am playing a lot, giving everything, I am motivated and I am happy with my performances. Can we all play together? Well, we won a World Cup and Euro Championship together. I do not see a problem. But Tito is the one who must decide. We have players who can come in and refresh the team and it always goes well," said Fabregas. Following their 4-0 win over Levante during the weekend, Barcelona extended the lead at the top of the table to a mammoth 11 points.
