Cesc open to move to Manchester United

Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has apparently told his friends in England that he would quit the club for regular first team football at Manchester United as well as the chance to reunite with Robin van Persie with whom he enjoyed a successful partnership during their time at Arsenal.

The Spanish midfielder is the prime transfer target for Manchester United and new manager David Moyes and after having two bids rejected already for the Spanish international, are already said to have lodged a third and final bid as they look to tempt cash strapped Barcelona to sell a player they only bough two years ago after a protracted transfer saga from Arsenal.

United manager David Moyes confirmed at a press conference in Japan that talks are ongoing between the two clubs over the transfer of Cesc Fabregas and it is believed that a third and final bid from the Premier League champions is imminent for the Spanish midfielder.

And what gives United confidence is that the 26 year old has chosen to maintain a ‘golden silence’ amidst talk of a third bid for him, something he didn’t do when news of the first two bids broke. Moreover, his confession to friends in England has also put United in prime position to lure the former Arsenal man to England where he enjoyed tremendous success under Arsene Wenger in the eight seasons he spent in London.

It is being understood that Cesc Fabregas is tempted by the chance of first team football at United, something he is not guaranteed in a star studded Barcelona midfield consisting the likes of Xavi and Iniesta and he is also keen to reunite with former Arsenal strike who made the move to Manchester United from Arsenal last summer and immediately won the Premier League title after eight years without a trophy at Arsenal.
