CESC LOVING LIFE AT BARCA

Cesc Fabregas has said that he is loving his life back in Barcelona.

The former Arsenal captain returns to North London to face Chelsea in the semi-final of the champions league.

Arsenal rarely competed in this competition at this stage, which has persuaded Fabregas to say that he is extremely happy to play in such matches and it is possible only because of moving to Barcelona.

The 24-year-old moved to the Camp Nou in a £ 35 million deal and has been one of the best players for Barcelona this season. Fabregas has already won two titles with Barcelona this season after spending eight years without a trophy at Arsenal.

Fabregas was one of the members of the squad that was beaten by Barcelona in the champions league final in 2006. Recalling those memories, Fabregas said that it is a joy to play for Barcelona given the way they compete at the top in all competitions.

Barcelona have the opportunity to win the champions league in consecutive seasons, as they face Chelsea in the semi-final at Stamford Bridge in the first leg. Following this match, Barcelona will be playing Real Madrid in the league. It is because of the nature of these games that Fabregas decided to join Barcelona, with many fans betting that Barca will make it a back-to-back Champions League title.

“I have played much more than I expected. I came here to learn, to get better as a player and also to experience weeks like we are going to start tomorrow. The chance to play Chelsea in the semi-final of the Champions League, to play against Real Madrid [on Saturday], which if we win, we are right back in the title race, and then playing against Chelsea again,” Fàbregas said ahead of the match with Chelsea. Fabregas is likely to start the match for Barcelona in the midfield alongside Xavi.
